	I never watch the news... But I just found out that there was an earthquake in the Niigata prefecture (where one of my friends live) over a week ago. I'd like to keep up with that sort of thing. 	Wow, I just found this great nintendo site! www.gonintendo.com But the really cool thing on the site was this. Someone spent a lot of time and effort making 3D versions of various characters and other things from games and televison... entirely out of paper! What's more, you can print out the patterns to make them yourself!

The Passion of Joan of Arc

	Looky! About a year ago, I happened to see this movie on the TURNER CLASSIC MOVIES Network. Being a fan of silent film in general, I watched and... was amazed. It's now one of my favorite movies (if not, my favorite!). While the version I watched was the Criterion Collection's English translation--which I've since purchased--the original version can be watched here for free... The only catch is that the original version is in French and I'm pretty sure that most of you, my LJ friends, can't speak French. 	I’m back from my “vacation!” with 2 translations… This one is a 002-centered short story from book #12. It wasn’t too difficult but the title was a tough one to translate… it literally translates into “Love’s Glacier” but I knew that name wouldn’t cut it in English… Unfortunately, the one I chose wasn’t much better… Please tell me if I missed any spelling/grammar errors, etc. Thanks! TR: It will be a scoop! We’ll get big pay bonuse….(s)!

TR: Shhhhhh! Keep your voice down!

(Joe enters a parking lot)

Sign: “Circuit Parking Lot”

Oyamada: That’s right! You remember! Ha, ha, ha. Its been a long time, Joe!

Tall Reporter: Hear that? Boy, what a scoop! “Hurricane Joe’s Secrete Past of Juvenile Delinquency”!

Joe: What’re you guys doing nowadays?

Mary: First, what about you Joe? How’ve you been?

Ibaraki: You’ve changed, Joe. You look halfway respectable!
: But then, I guess its been a whole year and a half.. No. About 2 years now, huh?

Mary: Well, we can’t chat here all day. Why don’t we all go someplace to catch up on old times.

Oyamada: Yeah! Where are you living these days?

Ibaraki: Yeah Joe, why don’t you show us your place!

Joe: Um… Sure.
Well then… Lets get going! Hop into my car!

Ibaraki: Hold your horses, Joe. We have a car too, ya know!

(Cars pull out. Mary goes in Joe’s car.)

Joe: You said you had a car but… (Looking at the strange, three wheeled vehicle.)

Mary: You see, the three of us have started our own small shipping business with that car.
:Since you saw us last Joe, we’ve cleaned up our act.

Mary: We worked hard and saved the money for that old thing. Its not much… but we make a living.

(In a taxi cab)
Tall Reporter: We can’t loss him now! He’s on his way home! This is our chance to find out his secrete address.
: Please driver, do your best to follow that car!

Driver: Yes sir!

Sign: Chigasaki- 5 km
Sign: Yokohama- 13km
Sign: Speed Limit:50 km/h
Sign (in roman alphabet): Bet you want to know where it is… Is it really someplace on this island (of Japan)??

Joe: And then I said to him…

Joe: Hey? What’s wrong, guys?

Joe: What a noisy bug.

(Joe grabs bug with chopsticks and breaks it – it looks robotic.)
(A drinking glass shatters on the floor.)
(Joes three friends start to undress.)
