変な日本語: Japanese Language Journal
I don't know if anyone here is interested, but I started a Japanese language journal to mirror my Yahoo! Japan Blog... The LJ username is [info]paulajp.

While I realize that I could answer this question for myself by just taking a look, what do you write about in a Japanese blog anyways? I mean, I've had the thought of doing that, but I can't think of anything I would say in Japanese that I wouldn't say in English, so it seems kinda pointless... Still, I need more Japanese friends.

I guess I write about the same stuff as I do in English--though I usually write it with a bit of explanation about the stuff that would seem strange to a Japanese person. I sort of think of my English blogging as a waste of time... but Japanese blogging is practice. (I can waste my life away on the computer and not feel guilty.)

Yeah...I should do that. It's just a matter of finding a place with Japanese people who I like, and stuff that I feel like writing about.

Well, I think yahoo blog is the/one of the biggest free Japanese blogs (you know how the Japanese love their yahoo over better sites). There are a lot of different types of people and very few non-Japanese.

Yahoo has its advantages. What confuses me is that yahoo.co.jp has fairly good map data for Japan. But in Flickr (which is now owned by Yahoo) when I go to geotag my photos, while it uses Yahoo Maps, it doesn't have that same level of detail for Japan. So when I tag my photos in Japan I just have to place them approximately. It's quite lame.

Hehe, don't feel bad--it's a bit of a specialty journal. Not for everyone (unless you happen to like starring at gibberish^_^)
